Please consider sending your child to school with a couple of dollars so they can take home some wonderful books! The students LOVE getting to come to the library and pick out books they get to keep, and we have GREAT prices. If you buy a bunch, we will give you a great deal!  The prices are all set as:
  • $1.00 for all soft cover
  • $2.00 for all hard cover
  • $.50 for baby books
Moms and Dads, you can come shopping too!! We have lots of Adult Books. Take your child through the book fair and help them pick out some great books!

Check your Thursday Courier!
The Council wants your opinion on some big decisions for next year. So check your child's Courier envelope today for the short four-question survey. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and return it in the courier. It shouldn't take you anymore than five minutes.  If you have any questions, please contact Erin Nydam at erinnydam@

Muffins for Mom - This Friday at 7:30 am
Attention Moms! Friday morning is all about you! Please come enjoy breakfast with your child(ren) at our annual Muffins for Mom breakfast this Friday morning beginning at 7:30 a.m in the cafeteria.
Dads, show how much you value your child's mom by donating orange juice or, even better, by helping in the cafeteria. Dads are needed to help pour drinks, serve muffins and especially with clean-up. Our moms deserve a break, even for just one morning. If you can help, please contact Elaine Stice at destice@bellsouth.net.  Thanks!

Annual Kingsley Dance - this Friday night 6-8pm
Come one, come all! This annual tradition is a favorite for all Kingsley students, so mark your calendar. For new Kingsley families, imagine a party atmosphere, a DJ playing high-energy music and a cafeteria full of students of all ages having a blast together. That's what this night is all about. As this event is the primary fundraiser for the 5th graders' end-of-year activities, tickets will be sold at the door for $5 per family and a snack bar will be set up with pizza, drinks, snacks, baked goods, etc. Although previously announced that pizzas were by RSVP only, we've decided to sell them on a first-come first-serve basis as a whole pizza or by the slice, so bring your appetite! If you already reserved a pizza or slices through the online RSVP tool, you may claim your pizzas using your student's name.

IMPORTANT
: This is not a drop-off event. students must have an adult guardian present at the school during the dance.

COMING UP AT KINGSLEY
Update about Next Week's Parent Meeting
In an effort to serve all of our families, next Tuesday's parent meeting will be conducted in Spanish and will focus on topics of interest to our Spanish-speaking families. All families are welcome to come, but please be advised that translation service may not be provided for parents who do not understand Spanish.

Night of the Arts is coming up - Volunteers Still Needed
Night of the Arts is only a couple weeks away. The kids have been busy making artwork and are very excited about showing off their talents to the entire Kingsley family. It's coming up March 29 from 6-7:30.
We still need volunteers the evening of the event and the Monday through Wednesday before the event to hang the art. To volunteer, please email Elana Morris at elana2444@gmail.com and let her know when you can help. Download flyer >>

Kingsley's Brownie Troops are Trying to Make a Difference, but They Need Your Help!
  • 2nd Grade Brownie Troop is Collecting Supplies for Orphaned Children and Animals
Troop 10557 has committed to support
Noah’s Ark, a charity devoted to providing a loving home to abused, unwanted and orphaned children and animals. Their purpose is to bring children and animals together to provide unconditional love, service and a future full of hope. Already, the troop has raised more than $300 to donate, but they would like to do more. Please consider helping them in this effort by donating animal food and supplies. The troop will be collecting donations in a bin outside the front office from March 8 through April 12 and will deliver all donations when they visit Noah's Ark in mid-April.  Download letter from these girl scouts with list of donation items included>>

  • 3rd Grade Brownie Troop is Collecting Stuffed Animals for Kids
Tired of tripping over the stuffed animals in your child’s room? Send the animals to Kingsley! Our third grade Brownie troop is collecting new and used stuffed animals as part of their Journey project. The animals will be donated to Dunwoody and Sandy Springs police and fire personnel, who give them to children for comfort during a time of crisis. Bins are located near the front office. We are collecting now through Tuesday, March 27. Thanks for your support!
