A new playground!?; Parent Meeting 9/18; Spirit Night 9/20

A $30,000 playground makeover could be Kingsley's with your help. Right now Kingsley is in 9th place but needs to be in 1st place!  Enter codes from the inside of the packaging from Dannon Danimals and Danonino yogurt drinks at  RallyForRecess.com and designate Kingsley as your school. Or simply send your codes to your child's teacher.

Parent Meeting is Tuesday, September 18 at 6 pm

All parents are encouraged to attend the first parent meeting of the year in the cafeteria.  Hear an update from Charter Council and administration.  The 2012-13 budget will also be presented.

Spirit Night at Chick-Fil-A is Thursday, September 20

Kingsley earned $400 at this week's Mad Italian Spirit Night.  Go Parents!

Next Thursday, September 20, join your classmates at Chick-fil-A at Perimeter Pointe for another Spirit Night. Free ice cream with sprinkles included!

Garden Club Meetings

Grades K-2 Thurs. 9/13, 2:45-3:45p

Grades 3rd-5th Thurs. 9/20, 2:45-3:45p

We will have a brief orientation and then do some much needed weeding (bring garden gloves, or you can borrow a pair of ours). Snacks are not provided, so pack one if needed. Please be on-time for pickup at 4:00p in the hallway outside the main office.

Garden Club is accepting new members for Grades 3-5 (our K-2 club is filled), which meets the 3rd Thurs. of each month. Cost: Free (but parent participation may be considered in the selection of new members.) Parent help is needed during meetings, parties, special projects, work days, for summer watering duties, and/or donating treats/supplies on occasion.

Gwinnett Gladiators Hat Trick for Reading Program

Your child can receive a complimentary ticket to a Gwinnett Gladiators game with this reading program.  Watch for a bookmark to be sent home in the Courier. The bookmark should be returned to the homeroom teacher by Friday, September 28. More details are here.

The Sally Foster Gift Wrap Fundraiser is coming soon!  Be thinking of who you know that can't resist buying yet another roll of high quality holiday wrapping paper!  Kingsley earns 50% of sales.

Fall Work Days are September 29 & 30. Come play in the dirt with us on a beautiful fall day and help clean up the Kingsley campus.  We will be working on weeding, pruning, painting, spreading pine straw and a few other projects.  Please contact us at kcsgardenclub@yahoo.com if you can provide any of the needed tools/materials:  water sealer for the picnic tables, an umbrella stand, circular saw, outdoor shelving.
