Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 6 pm -- Kingsley Media Center

These very motivated speakers put the reality of bullying into perspective.
Your donations at work: Kingsley's new computer lab
Have you ever wondered where your charter donations go? On Friday, December 21, DeKalb County School’s MIS Department installed a brand new computer lab for our school, which was funded almost entirely by your donations! 30 brand new desktops with flat screen monitors, desks and chairs are now in use in the computer lab, replacing our 12+ year old desktops. Special thanks go to Dr. Smith for making it all come together, and to Keith Rothschild for overseeing the installation. Keith will be exploring upgrading the old desktops for use in other areas of the school.
Congratulations to Tom Lambert, Kingsley Parent, who will be honored by the City of Dunwoody as the 2012 Sustainable Hero for all his work with Safe Routes to School for Kingsley and Walking Wednesdays. He will be honored at the city council meeting on Monday, January 14, 2013.
Class picture orders are back and will be sent home soon. However, the photographer printed the class pictures as 5 x 7's instead of 8 x 10's so you will also be receiving a $2.00 refund per picture ordered. Contact: Heidi Neumann
All Pro Dad meets next Thursday, January 17 at 6:50 a.m. in the media center. Join us with your child for breakfast. RSVP and more info here.
USED BOOK COLLECTION
Find ‘em, Stack’ em, Bring them in!
Start your Spring cleaning early--Clear out your BOOKSHELVES! Clean your shelves to get ready for those new Holiday gifts!
How many times has your child read this book, and that book and oh yeah, don’t forget about that stack of books over there?
Are he getting too old for those picture books? Has your 3rd grader read all the Magic Tree House Books, Diary of Wimpy Kids or Harry Potter?
Is your 5th grader moving on to Middle School and no longer needs those youth chapter books anymore?
Kingsley can raise money by selling your used books!
We sell out of youth chapter books extremely fast! Please think about donating books that are just sitting on your shelves.
Ask your neighbors that have teenagers if they would be interested in donating some books?
Please bring in used books in January! We will host the book sale March 13-15.
