ONLY ONE WEEK UNTIL FALL FESTIVAL! Get ready for a Rockin’ Time!
Can you believe we only have one more week until Fall Festival? The kids are getting really excited!  Order your tickets before Friday 10/21 to save. Presale prices are 4 tickets for $1, but the event day price is 3 tickets for $1.   Pre-event ticket orders must be paid in full prior to 10/21 and will be available for pick-up at the Will Call under the Big Top tent. How much should you order? Guidelines are available on the Fall Festival web page.
HELP WANTED! JUMPY AND DUNK TANK SIGN-UPS.  We are looking better every day, but still need a few individuals to assist, especially with the dunk tank.  We are hoping that a VERY WARM water supply will be available during the entire event, making it much more comfortable for our volunteers.  Please contact Kimberly Cooper at kcoop@bellsouth.net if you can help. SET UP SATURDAY AM.  Still looking for volunteers to help set up the field, tables, chairs, etc., on Saturday the 22nd at 745AM.  We have A LOT to do for an opening at 10AM!  Please email Bill MacDonald at billymac767@mac.comif you can assist. Time to send in your Box Tops and Campbell Soup Labels!
Did you see the collection envelope in your student's classroom yet? Is is full of Box Tops and Campbell's Soup Labels? Every single item in those classroom envelopes turns into cash for Kingsley this school year! And in October, the classroom that turns in the most items - Box Tops + Campbell's Soup Labels - will win a huge treasure box full of treats for the whole class. Fall and Halloween pencils, erasers, bouncy balls, stickers and of course candy...over 300 items for the class to share!
Collecting Box Tops and Campbell's Soup Labels can be so easy! Put a container or envelope in your work break room for co-workers to collect for you, ask family members to collect them at their house for you, etc... last fall semester, a grandparent of a 2nd grader mailed 50 Box Tops to the school from Nebraska! Yea for grandparents!! Last spring semester, a parent sent in over 250 Box Tops because their office was re-organizing their filing system and each new Avery binder had a Box Top! Awesome! Stay tuned next week to see which class is in the lead!

Spanish-Speaking Parent Meeting – Tuesday 10/18 6:00pm
Please be advised that the parent meeting scheduled for Tuesday 10/18 will be conducted in Spanish and topics covered will be geared toward the questions of parents whose primary or only spoken language is Spanish.
Individual Student Pictures – Wednesday 10/19
Student pictures will be taken next Wednesday during the school day. Please be aware that Wednesday is a uniform dress day, so all students should adhere to the uniform policy (click here to access uniform policy information on the Kingsley Charter website).  Additional detail and picture order forms will be sent home in the 10/13 school courier folder.

Dunwoody Kids Bike Rodeo – Saturday 10/29
Date: Saturday, October 29, 2011 Time: 8:00am - 12:00pm Location: Brook Run Park, 4700 North Peachtree Road, Dunwoody, GA Sponsored by the City of Dunwoody Parks & Recreation Department with support from City of Dunwoody Police & Police Explorers. This event is free and open to the public. Bring the kids for some great f un and learning about safe riding! Kids need to bring their own bikes and helmets. There will be a raffle of door prizes, too! Mark Your Calendar – DCPC Meeting with New DCSS Superintendent
Date/Time: November 2, 2011 (Wednesday, 9:15 am) Meeting Location: Dunwoody High School Auditorium Speaker: Dr. Cheryl Atkinson, New DCSS Superintendent DCPC meetings are held at various public venues within the Dunwoody Chamblee area.  Meetings are open and topics are geared toward the interests of parents and guardians with children in Dunwoody and Chamblee schools in the Dekalb County School System.
