Weekly Kingsley News
(featuring many volunteer opportunities)

Kingsley Campus Work Day Sat. 4/20, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Please join us on a beautiful spring day for some work at the front entrance and general campus cleanup.  In the front we will be weeding, planting, and spreading pine-straw.  We will also be doing general cleanup in the Learning Garden and around campus, particularly the east side.

Materials Needed:
* pine-straw - please contact us if you can help get 35 bales delivered to school by Sat.
hand pruners - we've got lots of ivy to clip from trees on east side
* wheel barrows - we've had one donated but can always use more!
* circular saw (to drill 2" hole in picnic table for installation of our first umbrella!)
* pressure washing of picnic tables in Learning Garden (outside media center)

Contact amandahensley01@gmail.com if you can help plan or lead any of our projects (details will be posted to web site when available).

Sports Court Update from the Principal

Parents,

I am pleased to announce that construction has begun on a sports court
area near the play equipment on the field. The first portion of
construction should be completed by Wednesday, April 17th and no work will
take place while students are taking the CRCT.  Since the safety of our
students is our first priority, it has become necessary to temporarily
close the playground area and field.  Until it is safe for students, the
play equipment and field will remain off-limits to students.

I would like to thank our parents and staff that serve on our Health and
Wellness Committee for the hard work and dedication that went into
bringing this project to fruition.

Thank you for your understanding as we work to improve our facilities.

Sincerely,

Jasmine Smith
