| THIS WEEK AT KINGSLEY |
| Help Kingsley Win the Dunwoody Walk to School Competition - THIS WEDNESDAY! Wednesday is Georgia Walk to School Day, and in Dunwoody, we are having a competition. On Wednesday morning, each of five elementary schools is competing to see which school can have the most walkers. Not only does the winning school get the Golden Shoe Award, but the losing principals of all the losing schools have to wear the winning school's t-shirt for a day. Do you want to see Dr. Smith wearing another school's shirt? NO! Even Dunwoody's Mayor Davis is supporting Kingsley by walking with us. So, lace up those tennis shoes and bring your students to the old Ace Hardware parking lot at 7:00 on Wednesday morning to help Kingsley win the competition. Need some encouragement? Watch Captain Kingsley and Princess Comet's video >> DCPC Meeting at Huntley Hills - Wednesday 9:15 a.m. Time: Starts at 9:15 am, refreshments at 8:45 am Meeting Location: Huntley Hills Elementary and Montessori School Topic: "Magnet Theme Program" Speaker: A representative from DCSS High Achievers Program As always, please spread the word to your school community. Everyone is welcomed! Carpool Reminder As a reminder, if you pull up to the carpool lane at 7:49 a.m., you should not expect to get your child into the school on time. The number of volunteers helping to keep the carpool line moving changes daily from as many as seven as few as two. Once the door closes, you must sign your child in at the front office. That is a DeKalb County School System rule. Please respect the parent volunteers who are trying to abide by this rule. |
| COMING UP AT KINGSLEY |
| Kingsley School Dance - Friday 3/16 6-8pm Come one, come all! This annual tradition is a favorite for all Kingsley students, so mark your calendar. For new Kingsley families, imagine a party atmosphere, a DJ playing high-energy music and a cafeteria full of students of all ages having a blast together. That's what this night is all about. As this event is the primary fundraiser for the 5th graders' end-of-year activities, tickets will be sold at the door for $5 per family and a snack bar will be set up with pizza, drinks, snacks, baked goods, etc. To reserve your pizza - by the slice or a whole pizza - make sure to RSVP online. Volunteers Need for Night of the Arts Night of the Arts is a great opportunity for the kids to show off their talents. It's coming up March 29 from 6-7:30. We need volunteers the evening of the event and the Monday through Wednesday before the event to hang the art. If these times don't work for you, you can work at home labeling art. To volunteer, please email Elana Morris at elana2444@gmail.com and let her know when you can help.
