Reminder Your Kids: Turn in Reading Log for Free Six Flags Tickets - Due by February 16 Kingsley is participating in an exciting program that encourages children to read for fun. Read to Succeed is a free program from Six Flags® and Discovery Education. Every student who completes six hours of recreational reading before February 16 is eligible for a free admission ticket valid at participating Six Flags theme parks--yes, Six Flags Over Georgia is one of those parks. Students will develop a greater appreciation for books when they see that you think reading is important too. You’re sure to have fun as you investigate the world of reading together! Remember student reading logs are due by February 16. Download a reading log for your student. Don't Forget - Candlelight Luncheon is on Thursday This luncheon is a family event where parents (and other family members or invited guests) are welcome to have lunch with their student over candlelight. The kids absolutely LOVE it! So extend your Valentine's celebrations and show the little one you love some extra love by attending this luncheon. To find out what time your student will be having lunch, view the adjusted Candlelight Luncheon class lunch schedule. Out of consideration for the neighbors and for everyone's safety, please follow a few parking guidelines--park on the side of the road closest to the school, do not block driveways or mailboxes, do not block the bus circle or fire lanes. No School on Friday or Monday Kingsley students have both Friday 2/17 and Monday 2/20 off from school for Presidents' Day weekend. McDonald’s Spirit Night - Thursday 2/23 5:30pm – 8:00pm Attention 3rd thru 5th Grade families, take a night off from cooking and join your classmates and their families at the Jett Ferry McDonald's, all while earning money for our school! Siblings are definitely welcome. If you are not a 3-5 grade family, you are welcome to come too...or do a drive-thru run...drive-thru sales count too! 4th Grade Play - Next Friday Night at 6:00 p.m. WHO: Fourth Graders WHAT: Fourth Grade Play "It's a Kid's Life" WHEN: February 24th at 6:00 p.m. WHERE: Kingsley Cafeteria WHY: Because it is fabulous!!! Please join us on the 24th for this fun, entertaining Kingsley tradition. Time to Turn in those Labels Attentions Kingsley families... have you sent in any Box Tops or Campbell's Soup Labels lately? There is a new collection box for both items in the Parent room across from the office. If you are coming to school this week for class parties, teacher conferences, etc... please remember your Box Tops and Soup Labels. Our next submission deadline is March 1! |
