Come play in the dirt with us and help beautify the Kingsley campus! It should be a beautiful fall day and we have lots of exciting projects to work on (have you noticed or heard the kids talk about the huge piles of dirt and mulch back by the gym?). We will need several wheelbarrows and tarps so bring those if you can. Also bring gloves, shovels, rakes and pitch forks if you have them, and any other gardening tools to help with general pruning/weeding around campus (trowel, hand pruners, loppers).
We are also in need of some other equipment - a truck, a bobcat, a tiller - and a few parents to help lead some of these projects. Please contact us at kcsgardenclub@yahoo.com if you can help. Fall work days are a great, fun way to earn your volunteer hours at Kingsley!!

Calling All Roving Reporters - Kindergarteners thru 5th graders welcome
Become a Kingsley student reporter so you can interview teachers, write creative stories, draw comic strips, tell about an event that happened at Kingsley ( i.e. Walking Wednesday), and much more. Our Roving Reporters will publish the Kingsley Comet, the school newsletter, approximately every six weeks.
The Roving Reporters will meet every Wednesday from 2:45-3:30pm in the computer lab starting on October 5th. We need parents to help with interview questions, writing articles, brainstorming, etc., especially with the younger reporters.
Parents, if your child is interested, please attend the first meeting on October 5 at 2:45pm to find out what this club is all about. You may also email Allegra Johnson at ajwigwam@bellsouth.net if you have questions or want to help with the club.
Note: All reporters must be picked up by 3:30 unless they are enrolled in Kingsley’s after care program.
